Welcome to the Shaw Newspapers Archive

The Shaw Newspapers archive provides subscribers the opportunity to search through select news stories that have been published on the websites of any of the following Shaw newspapers:

Creston News Advertiser, Creston Iowa
Newton Daily News, Newton Iowa
Northwest Herald, Crystal Lake Illinois

The archived stories have been divided into several categories of news. When searching the news archives you can choose to narrow it down by choosing a specific section.

Please note that the default is to search through all the papers in the archive. If you would like to search for stories that are related to just one of the newspapers, then click on that newspaper in the list before doing your search. You may highlight more than one paper in the list by holding down the "alt" key and clicking multiple newspapers.
